A week in Croatia

Montag, 29. Juni 2015
When my uncle first told me he´s getting married in Croatia, my first reaction was: he is crazy.
First shock survived, I started liking the idea of having a beach wedding. I have to say I´m not massively into beaches which makes me kind of odd I guess, but it´s a nice setting to a wedding and of course it matters what bride and groom want. (And I am always up for a cheeky road trip)
So after I headed back from Seville to Frankfurt, my family and I took a 10 hour trip from our home to the Island called Mali Losinj in Croatia. On our way we passed through Austria and Slowenia. Honestly, I was super surprised by Slowenia! It wasn´t really a country present on my radar, but I was amazed by it. The nature and the woods just looked amazing.
Well after a long car journey later, we finally arrived. The wedding was themed in white and pastel colors, which is quite an unusual thing, but refreshing.
The colors of the sea were breathtaking. Seriously haven´t seen that amazing colors in a long time. Like I said I´m not really up for Beaches, but if I go there I enjoy my time nontheless. I even managed to go swimming which I´m usually dreading, 'cause I´m not the biggest water fan. But the salt in it makes it really funny to swim and besides it´s amazing for your skin.
The wedding was a bit short, but apparently that´s normal. Other than that it was really beautiful!
We also took a stroll through the haven of Mali Losinj which is really gorgeous. We visited a friend of ours who came by boat. We went on the boat and my sister and I were lost in memories. When we were kids we pretty much spent the summers at our grandparents house and they have a sailboat and that´s where we were all the time. Great memories.
So here are a few pictures I took, hope you like it x
