A new Movie Playlist, yipppiiii
Well, in case you are as exited as I am, keep reading!
Movies are my life.
Who Am I - No System Is Safe
Best german movie I have seen in a really long time! Extremly putting your nerves on the edge. This is not a Popcorn movie, that´s a movie you actually have to watch and follow. It´s about a hacker group and their global rising and also adresses social issues. I especially love the twist at the end, would never have seen it coming. The four main characters are kind of randomly put together, but they are amazing together. It´s also quite funny sometimes, but it´s mainly a thriller.
The Mask Of Zorro
In my family this one is considered a classic. I thought Catherine Zeta Jones was literally the coolest person ever when I was a kid, cause let´s face it: she´s just gorgeous isn´t she? I always liked movies about minorities fighting for the good and with a hero like Zorro it´s just amazing. So when I was in Spain I watched it in Spanish and I remembered how great it was.
The Spectacular Now
Mainly watched it, because I knew Shailene Wooldey is in it. I was honestly surprised by it. Sometimes the story line did get carried away a bit, but it was fine. I like how it portrais the life of normal teenagers very naturally. It´s not one of those movie in which everything is great, because most of the time it´s just not. That´s a movie I should have watched as a 15 year old, I could have learned a few things. Man, I even do now.
Entrapment
There was a time, pretty much after the Mark Of Zorro, when I was obsessed with Catherine Zeta-Jones. When I was younger I would sneak downstairs to the TV during the night and watch movies. And one time I saw this movie was playing and was about to zap on, but then I saw her in it and of course I had to finish it.
Divergent
I have to say I developed a serious girl crush on Shailene Wooldey, she just seems to be an incredibly humbled human being. Would love to meet her in person, she´s quite the inspiration. Moving swiftly on, it took me quite some time to actually watch that movie. I briefly saw it on an aeroplane but had to stop it, since we were landing and never really finished it. So a couple of weeks ago, I saw this interview with Shailene Woodley in which she claimed to eat clay. And I was like 'Man I´m doing the same, you´re like me new best virtual friend' or something along that line and I looked her up and thought, well I´ll give it another go. So there I sat and watched and I here I am still loving it.
Dead Poets Society
Robin Williams is a legend. I still can´t believe that there won´t be anymore movies with him. He just had this incredible talent to add something extraordinary to a simple thing at make it amazing. As a kid I used to watch Mrs. Doubtfire all the time and a bit later on I discovered Dead Poets Society and was amazed by the idea and reality of it.
Top Gun
You can say a lot about Tom Cruise, but not that he isn´t a damn great actor. His action movies are just amazing. Well, he´s such a player in this movie, but he also kind of shows his soft side which I quite like. This movie is considered one as a 'must have seen' and that rightly so! It´s so action loaded, but also touching when it needs to be.
Sorry that it´s not as much as usually, but I´ve been super busy this summer. Actually I am writing this after just getting back from a Europe road trip with my best friend from America and I haven´t even started with packing for tomorrow, when I´ll fly out to Namibia. Anyways, hope everybody is doing great, expect a few lovely travel posts in the future! x
