Exploring Sevilla

Sonntag, 28. September 2014

If a woman get´s tired of Sevilla, she gets tired of life.

Oreo cake in a jar

Don´t we all have these sundays (after a proper night out on saturday) when all you want to do is just lay in bed, eat bad things and have a movie-marathon?
Well at least that´s how I felt today.
I´m not saying this is the healthiest dish I´ve ever eaten, but it´s by far one of the most delicious and best options for today.
Treat yourself once in a while!

This is what you need:

  • shortbread
  • oreos
  • a bit butter
  • stracciatella cream / yoghurt (I used yoghurt)

This is only an idea, you are free to change the recipe to your liking (:
I believe the pictures are pretty much self-explaining, otherwise just ask!
Nonetheless, enjoy!

My first Outfit Of the Week

Dienstag, 23. September 2014
I believe Ella Grace Denton is the first one who brought up the 'Outfit of the week'-thingy, at least it was the first time where I have seen it! Go check her out, she's a truly inspiring person and she recently turned into a blogger, go have a look and show some love!
I quite liked the idea and I hope it´s okay Ella that I follow you doing it x

I don´t really have a style or something, I just put the things I love together and hope that it looks somewhat presentable.

Oh Sevilla - you got me bad.

Montag, 22. September 2014
Today I´m 18 days in Sevilla.
To say it´s amazing is an absolutely understatement. I feel so.. alive. Like I haven´t felt in months. Everything is just going so well, I´m meeting really nice people every day, eat gorgeous food and wander around probably the most amazing city in the world.
In Germany tons of people told me about how beautiful Sevilla is. To be honest after the 5th time I probably just shut down cause it was getting on my nerves. But oh my Spain, they were so right.
Sevilla is; lovely, traumatizing, amazing, marvelous, hidden, exciting, gorgeous, exploring, freedom, alive, charming, thrilling, multicultural, unbelievable, ... the list goes on.
These words don´t do the feeling you get while walking around no justice at all.
This is like my personal little happy-bubble. I can´t get enough of it and to stroll around everyday is mesmerizing.
To be here for a year is an absolutely blessing.
Please do yourself the greatest favor and visit Sevilla!

Salzburg - My Love

Montag, 1. September 2014
I´m one of these lucky persons who are able to have a couple of homes. I´m not trying to offend anybody, especially not my parents (they sure as hell have done an amazing job at raising such a brat as me #sorryforallthetrouble). But I was and am a kind of person who doesn´t find it difficult to feel "home" somewhere. My Great-aunt lives in Salzburg, my mothers rather larger family owns a house just in the extensions of Salzburg. When we used to live in Bavaria, it´d only take about an hour to go there, so it became quickly some sort of home. I spent most of my fall vacation in its backyard picking up & cracking walnuts, cooking quince-marmelade, make traditional hungary apple-pie, anything we could find. I loved it. Now we don´t get to see my Great-aunt as often, because it´s quite a trip, but I just couldn´t resist seeing her one last time before I went to Spain.
It just never fails to amaze me. Whatever path you choose, there is always something unique to discover. I´d highly recommend a visit!
So here are some of the pics I took while spending the weekend in my beloved Salzburg.

Stay safe and beautiful x

August Favorites

August has been a quite overload month for me. I haven´t really been traveling at all, maybe a few one-day-visits, but other than that, it mainly consisted of working and trying to spend as much time with my friends as possible.
So here are a few things that I loved / enjoyed.

CHIA SEEDS
Well they are nothing new to me and perhaps neither to you, but this month I particularly loved them. I eat them every other day, sometimes every day and I have to say they´re the best! My siblings are not too fond of them because they look like spawn, but I adore them. They are just full of good things for your body & soul. And since I´m a vegetarian I need the extra omega-3 fatty acids. I just don´t get tired of them and there are so many ways of using them. Maybe I´ll do a longer blog post about them soon (:

AUDIOBOOKS
As children we were known to be the bookworms. Every start of summer we would go to the library and lend books we want to read over the summer. Usually each one of us had a least 15 books and we´d swap among us. But it wasn´t only reading our books. We also had audiobooks for our rides.  Over the last two years I haven´t been reading nearly as much as I used to. There was just so much going on with school and life itself that I hardly found the time to actually sit down and read books properly or even listen to an audiobook. But now that school is finally over I find the time. And it makes me beyond happy. I missed it, to get so deep into a story that you literally can´t stop reading / listening (to) it! I discovered audiobooks again for me and I always will!

FASHION MAGAZINES
Usually I´m not really one for being into fashion. I mean yeah, I am interested in it to some point but I don´t really go crazy for it and I don´t plan my outfit the night before. But I found myself picking one up once in a while and brushing through it. They aren´t actually that bad!

LEWIS WATSON
Oh God. Why did I stop listening to him? He must be a saint. It seems like this summer is all about picking up old things and learning to love again. I just find his voice really calming. You can download his album right here. My favorite tracks are Little Darling and Into the Wild.

speaking of into the wild:

INTO THE WILD
I´m usually a person reading the book before watching the movie. But recently I watched Into The Wild and it amazed me. I have to admit, I´m quite into all this Supertramp and Outdoor kind of stuff. I really enjoyed the movie... especially because it is based on a true story. A person just trying to live. I loved it so much that I ordered the book the same night! Go watch / read it!

BLACKBERRY LIPBALM FROM KIKO
On my trip to Mallorca one of my closest friends introduced me to this piece of happiness. A lip balm from Kiko. Why I praise it in all its glory is, because it makes your lips smooth as a peach and smile like a raspberry. I know it´s called blackberry, but to be honest the color is more of a very ripe raspberry. Nonetheless it´s an amazing color. If this isn´t convincing you, maybe the fact that many of my other female friends got a hold on it as well (even my mom complemented for it) will! Go have a try and share your experience!

RAFFAELO
I´m really trying to eat somewhat healthy and balanced. But once in a while I catch myself craving really bad for this little shit of heaven. I don´t know why I love it so much! I used to dislike coconut quite a bit, but right now I´m hating myself for doing so! Also; Expect a blogpost with some Raffaelo-related topic soon! (:

GLISS KUR
Let´s be honest: I´m really not a hair professional. Like not even close. But I have somewhat tricky hair. It´s just a bit boring and dry and uhhh I don´t really know what to do with it. But over the past couple of weeks I´ve been really loving Gliss Kur by Schwarzkopf. I put it in towel-dry-hair and then I´ll brush it out. It makes my hair a bit shinier and just looking more healthy in general.

HUMMUS
In every possible made way. I love it. It´s really amazing and my go do spread. I do all kind of Hummus´ and to be honest most of the time I don´t go after a recipe, but after what I´m craving or believe would go lovely with it. If you would like me to I can share some of my "tries".

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME ON EARTH
This quote is used in many forms. Simply: YOLO. As stupid as it sounds, there is so much truth in it. Our time on earth is set. This planet is a gift to us. It only seems fair to me to toll it some proper respect. I bought this book about the world in Urban Outfitters on my recent trip to London. I am amazed with it. It holds so much about the world you wouldn´t even dare to think about. Please, give it a go. You won´t be disappointed!
