I only said it in fun, thought you´d only be pretending. 

It could have only been due to a misunderstanding.

If only I knew your love was real,

I would have told you how I really feel.

But boy we were never meant to fit,

and though I didn´t mean for us to turn out the way we did.

If only I could have protected our hearts,

yet I just knew we wouldn´t last.

And now it concerns not only our relation, 

cause we dragged everybody else in our damnation.

If I could only turn back time,

but I still couldn´t promise we´d be fine.

I wouldn´t, cause either way,

I could never make you stay.

And I don´t even wish for it,

you should never loose your free spirit.

to the beautiful person I was lucky enough to meet.
